Cauê is an architect and urban planner with a master's in Spatial Planning and Urban Project at the University of Porto (UP) and a PhD candidate at UP/CITTA. His research explores how civil society organizations, especially pro-bicycle movements, influence public policies and promote changes in institutional mobility regimes. He investigates bottom-up dynamics and interactions between social movements and incumbent actors. Now, he is working with theories such as socio-technical transitions, social innovations and institutional change. His interests include sustainable mobility, cooperation between associations and governments, and the role of the bicycle in creating more inclusive and resilient cities.
