Oxana Tchepel is an Associate Professor at Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, since 2013. She holds a Master degree in Atmospheric Pollution (1997) and PhD in Environmental Sciences (2003) from University of Aveiro, Portugal. Her research work is currently integrated in the Research Centre for Territory, Transports and Environment (CITTA) focusing on atmospheric emission modelling in urban environment and air quality assessment. She is involved in teaching of several subjects in the field of Environmental Engineering, including Air Quality, Transportation and the Environment; supervised several PhD and post-doctoral research work related to atmospheric aerosols and link between urban transport and air pollution. She participated in more than 20 research projects and collaboration networks directly related with the field of expertise, and was a coordinator of 4 research projects. Participated in several expert groups, including Pool of Scientific Advisors on risk assessment (2008/721/EC), national representative in EC Joint Expert Group Transport & Environment (2011), Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling. She was evaluator of research project proposals of national and international calls (e.g. NERK UK, Horizon 2020, Netherland Space Office, EC INTAS).
