Sofia Valente is a Junior Researcher at CITTA – FEUP. Her recent research, which is a natural continuation of her PhD research, has focused on the transformations of coastal zones of port-cities, coastal climate adaptation, and methodological approaches of Adaptive Planning and Management, including Adaptation Pathways method. She has explored whether and how Adaptive Planning approaches can be applied into coastal management instruments, to support coastal climate adaptation processes.
