2.22 - Spatial Patterns of Urban Disadvantage
Project Description
This research project aims to explore the complex nature of spatial patterns of urban disadvantage or urban deprivation, to better suit urban interventions to the diverse local problems. It focuses on how different kinds of urban problems (physic, social, economic, environmental,…) take place on different kinds of spaces and are the result of specific spatial dynamics. The project also investigates how the spatial division in urban disadvantage makes new demands to both the analysis of urban problematic areas and urban regeneration policies.
