3.11 - Cost of Noise

Project Description

This thesis explores the relation between Territorial Planning and Road Traffic Noise, focusing on the economical impact of road infrastructure design regarding territorial management.

The main areas of study cover:

  • interaction between land use management and noise sources;
  • traffic noise mitigation measures;
  • indirect impacts of traffic noise;
  • economical evaluation of mitigation measures and indirect effects.
