Project Description:
The research focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data science to transport infrastructure. By utilizing Machine Learning (ML) models and Computer Vision, the study aims to enhance transport infrastructure management. Decision tree-based methods to the prediction of road pavement quality.
Deep learning and Computer Vision (CV) serve two main purposes in this research: detecting pavement defects and developing road accident detection using synthetic data. The outcome of this study is the introduction of a Pavement Management System (PMS) based on AI techniques. This system provides decision-makers with tools to optimize road networks, conserve resources, ensure road safety, and maintain service quality.
